Now we wait.

Election night is always interesting. I want to stay up until they can give me answers to my questions, but that is stupid. I will find out tomorrow who our new President is, if the levy referendum passed in our district, and if all of those judges with no challengers got re-elected.

I was bummed, my town hall didn't have stickers. :(

I've been watching some of the spin doctors talking talking talking and showing us their fancy graphics. I too will wait until the morning.

I know what you mean. I am going to stay up for a little while longer, but I won't survive tomorrow if I wait until the end!

Now I'm interested, Did your levy referendum pass? It's a little different here in Washington every county except for Pierce and King (I live in Snohomish) are all absentee ballots so ever since I moved here I have just voted by an absentee ballot. I have to say I LOVE IT!! This way I vote every time even if its not a big race. I usually just mail them in but they were collecting them at a grocery store down the street so I decided I would just stop in and drop it off but when I went in the guy who was watching the drop box was attached to a breathing tube and looked like he was nearing the end. In fact I just hope he made it through the night because I was a little worried that he might not make it plus I want my vote to count. Although he did remember to hand me a sticker so maybe I'll be surprised and see him next elections. VERY SURPRISED!!

There were two parts to the operating levy. Both had to pass in order for us to continue with our budget as is. Only the first one passed, so we will have to make $1.6 million in cuts. We cut $1.4 million last year! Not sure what's going to happen this time around.

That is annoying...more cuts! It seems like that is the same story in Crosby too, and probably will happen again in Brainerd. It is so unfortunate. Something has got to give!
