Yeah! We got out early today because of the lovely snowstorm that hit MN. I think the worst of it is done.
Now, what does one accomplish on a snow day? Well, I got home about one o'clock and had to do some knitting and relaxing, and then I made some fabulous chili, and while it simmered, I baked cookies!
Chad made fun of me for using a recipe to make them. When I make something like the chili, or spaghetti, or sloppy joes, I just throw things in. It's called the Berg method, right Mom? :)
We also got a "two-month" project done. That means that this lovely little doo-dad hangy thing sat on my dresser for two months and it finally got hung on the wall. I think it took all of 5 minutes.

Your afternoon sounds lovely. I took nap, organized parent volunteers for our make-up performance, and just finished making/decorating Evan's birthday cake for Saturday. (Maybe someday I'll get pictues of it on my blog....maybe.) :)
I'm glad I get to sleep in!
The Berg method sounds very familiar. :) I was also baking chocolate chip cookies yesterday. I love the smell of fresh baked cookies, but then I'll send most of the batch to D.J.'s work. They like it, plus it give us something to talk about when I meet his co-workers.
I keep coming back to this page just to look at the picture of these cookies. This look sooooo good!!!
Back in the day I loved snow days. Although, I don't recall my mom knitting, making chili, and cookies. That's a full days work. In fact in one post you took me down memory lane, made me want to go and put on a sweater, and made me hungry all at the same time. THAT'S AMAZING!!
