In Willmar, we pair up the joy of vacation days with parent/teacher conferences. So Monday and Tuesday we are at school until 8 pm, and then Wednesday we conference during the day and the kids stay home. It works, and it's great to touch base with parents, but it makes for long days.
Now to the fun we had last weekend. Friday night we went with my friend Erin and her fiance Dan to see a Rascal Flatts concert. It was great fun, but unfortunately the picture of the two of them was blurry, so you will have to settle for Erin and I.
The next two pictures are different views of the awesome stage show. you can't see a lot of detail, but we were at the Excel Center in St. Paul, and the place was rockin'!
Chad and I stayed overnight and spent some time Saturday just walking around downtown St. Paul. This is at the Upper Landing park along the Mississippi River. You can see the science museum in the background.
Then a couple pictures of the pretty fall colors from our hotel window.

There she is! Missed you!
Sounds like a fun weekend. I've often wanted to just wander around downtown St. Paul. I live so close, you'd think I'd just do it already!
Oh, and Happy Birthday a bit early! Is it the one I'm thinking it is?
Oh, I miss MN fall colors! Sigh.
Looks like you had a great time -- I love the Cities. Glad to see an update from the Pendills!
Have a great weekend!
D.J. and I were looking for you while we watched the Wild opener. Happy Birthday!
I LOVE the mini-banner I would be one of those "FANS" that would hang it from the living room rafters. How about Miettinen? He's on fire!! I also hate to say it but I think we should trade Gaborik just my two cents.
