Good and Bad

We had another scary seizure episode this past week.  The first seizure was two weeks before, relatively short and involved an obvious high temperature.  This seizure was very long, and didn't seem to have a reason.  Connor had to be admitted to the hospital this time.  He did have an ear infection at the time.  After many tests (CT scan, MRI and a trip to a pediatric neurologist to have an EEG) the ear infection is the only reason that is left.  A probable spike in temerature had to cause the seizure. My baby's brain looks beautiful!  Hopefully he will outgrow these soon.  I also had two seizures when I was little, and no more since then, so we are praying it is the same for Connor.  Here are some pictures from our week...

Bad - My little man hooked up to an IVand heart monitor and locked in jail.
Good - He got to play games on the iPad since we had to keep him fairly still.

Bad - He had to be sedated and have an MRI.
Good - Pudding!

Bad - He was attached to an IV most of the time.
Good - "If I'm hooked to this darn thing, I might as well drive my blue car on it."

Good - Freedom from the pole!
Bad - Still a little loopy from the sedation medicine.

Good - Given the go ahead to go home from the hospital on Tuesday morning.
(He was admitted Sunday night.)

Bad - Leaving for the Cities at 5:15 am to go to the pediatric neurologist.
Good - Fun toys in the waiting room.

Bad - Being hooked up to lots of wires and then wrapped in gauze, also having to wash the gunk out of his pretty hair afterwards.
Good - Awesome results and an awesome doctor visit!

And double good - First ever visit to Toys 'R Us!  The little boy deserved it.
