Super Scarf

This is a scarf that I made for a 2012 Super Bowl volunteer.  The Super Bowl is in Indianapolis, hence the Colts colors, and they are collecting 8000 handmade scarves for the volunteers to wear.  They already have over 7000 scarves, so I'm glad that my scarf made it in on time.  (I am working on a second one, and it's almost finished, so maybe that one will make it in before they reach their goal too.)

What a beautiful scarf! I really like the bold geometric design. Thanks for sending me the link to your blog post. I think I saw the scarf on the Where in the World is Your Super Scarf site. Was it yours? I admired it when I saw it there.

I work in education, too. What a good thing you have going with a weekly knitting group! I'm happy that you take the time for that.

You asked if we would actually get to see any Super Scarves when we watch the game. I don't know. I hope so. But even if we don't, we'll know we helped. My eyes will be GLUED to the broadcast all day, for all the special interest stories . . . just in case I can spot somone in a blue and white scarf. Your scarf will be easy to spot!

I read your post about working on a second scarf and will check back to see a photo of it when you've gotten in finished.

Happy knitting!

The scarf on "Where in the World" wasn't my scarf, but I did see one like it. Someone else had the same idea!
