Summer!

It's officially summer! Last week I finished working, and Chad and I spent a weekend away from it all. He played in a golf tournament, and I rode around in the cart, cheered him on and pretended I was even remotely qualified to be a caddy. We also did some shopping, eating out and just enjoying each other's company. I'm pretty sure I consumed enough good food and dessert to move the needle on the scale. (I'm afraid to get on it...) Connor spent three whole nights with Grandma Bev and Papa Jeff, and I missed him. I'm pretty sure that he was too busy having fun with them, and Uncle Phil, to even notice that Mommy and Daddy weren't around.

So now that we are back home, I have had two days of time to do things around the house. Connor and I did some weeding on Monday, I pulled weeds, and he put rocks in my weed bucket. Today he went to summer daycare, and I had a nice lunch with some friends, and ran some errands as well. Tomorrow's big project...painting the front door. It will be transformed from a boring white, to "lipstick." Here's hoping it's not too crazy!

Thursday is going to be Connor's first Twins game! The weather forecast is good, and Connor and I, along with my friend Erin, her son Andrew, her dad, and our friend Lauri are planning on enjoying some sun at Target field. Maybe Joe Mauer will be back in the lineup too?

Okay, I just realized what time it is. Although I have turned off my alarm clock, the red-headed one across the hall still tends to wake me up pretty early in the morning. Off to enjoy the week!
