Wednesday

Well, it's not a Monday, for that I am thankful. Those have been brutal lately. Maybe it has something to do with the full moon this week? As for last Monday, I can't think of an excuse, I am just glad that today was a Wednesday.

I ended up staying home from work today. I woke up with cold symptoms, and feeling run down, so I stayed home and rested. By the time that Chad got home from work, I had some energy back, so we went ahead with our plans to pick out our Christmas tree. This is one of my favorite things to do. We grabbed the tree stand, and head out to Stacy's Nursery (commercial interruption!) and pick out our tree. They hang them from the ceiling! So you walk through this forest of hanging trees that swing when you brush against them, and you can see exactly what your tree will look like when it's in the stand. Plus, you can spin it around and look for any holes. Then, they trim the bottom and put it in the stand for you, and if needed, deliver it to your house. Talk about service! This time we just had it loaded into the Durango. Oh, did I mention the cookies and cider by the fire, and the two black labs who beg to be petted? Love it!

I also made a fantastic pot-pie out of those turkey leftovers that we had yet to get to. I'm not the grestest cook in the book, so I don't shoot for fancy meals, just properly cooked (neither too raw nor burnt, I've been known to do both) and tasty. So, I'm heading to bed early and planning on waking up, ready to go. Only 14 school days left until break folks!

Those Minnesota schools need to go back to the full two weeks off!! As of today, we have ten days to go...we are off the full two weeks, which is good for traveling to the far north of Minnesota!!
Nice to hear the tale of choosing the tree, sounds like fun. We are boring with our fake tree, maybe we will be adventurous like you guys some day:)
Hope you continue to feel good while you are growing that little human!!:)
