Fall days

Hello everyone! I see that it's been almost a month since I last posted, and I have lots of time to catch up today. I don't think I got sick much during my first 5 years of teaching, but the last few have been different. It didn't take long for me to catch my first good cold this year. So, this is the second day that I've spent at home. Now, if you are a teacher, you understand that staying home for two days in a row is a lot of work, because you have to prepare for a sub, entrust your little houligans to their care for a day, and then hope the kids don't embarass you! But, I am looking forward to another long day of napping.

Chad is currently "Up North" fishing on Lake of the Woods. He says they got 21 keepers last night, which was their first day of fishing. Hopefully he'll bring back some pictures to post. (I just went and checked upstairs, he left the camera here, so I guess not!)

So far, fall has been going well. Ty is playing football, and I think he's enjoying 8th grade. I don't see him at school anymore because his classes are all on the other side of the building from me. Occasionally I'll catch a glimpse of his shaggy head as he walks the halls in the morning, but that's about it. He's started doing weightlifting in the mornings before school on M-W-F, so that makes for some long days!

Chad and I have been busy working and enjoying our date nights. That's code for neither one of us wants to cook. :) Well, I'm going to take my hot cocoa out to the couch to snuggle up with some knitting and one of my recorded shows for a while, until I fall asleep that is.
